INSEAD Workshops: Sustainability

Systems Leadership for the Circular Economy: How to Invest in Sustainable Businesses That Modify, Not Disrupt, Systems.
Participants will master three investment frameworks (Pace Layering, Drivers & Barriers, Trade-Offs) to identify and back truly scalable circular economy startups; understand why evolutionary innovation beats revolution in physical industries; and develop the critical eye to distinguish genuine systems-friendly progress from greenwash, equipping them to deploy capital and design initiatives that create lasting, defensible value within complex, interconnected markets.

Strategic Leadership In Investment: Orchestrating Stakeholders For Sustainable Advantage
This workshop develops the “systems orchestration” capability - the art of aligning divergent stakeholders around shared objectives while respecting their constraints and building trust.

Capital deployment alone is insufficient in circular economy ventures. Leaders must understand power dynamics, competing incentives, governance structures, and communication flows across manufacturers, regulators, distributors, end-consumers, and financial partners.
INSEAD Workshops: Leadership

Leadership, Power & Trust for Cross-Generational Collaboration
The workshop equips family leaders with frameworks to manage founder-successor tension, align family values across generations, build trust in governance structures, and design sustainable family business systems that thrive across multiple generations. This capability is essential for family offices, family-controlled enterprises, and succession planning where intergenerational alignment determines both financial viability and family cohesion.

Art Thinking: Creative Decision-Making for Break-through Innovation
The workshop introduces Art Thinking as a complementary methodology to analytical decision-making frameworks, specifically designed to unlock creative solutions in complex, ambiguous business challenges. Participants learn to apply artistic practices - observation, questioning, metaphor, and paradox. The workshop bridges the rational and intuitive, enabling leaders to decode hidden meanings, anticipate emerging patterns, and generate original approaches to challenges that conventional business thinking might miss.
